Background

As we know the first computer machine abacus was built to reduce human brain efforts and it can quickly calculate mathematical operation than the human brain. But it was an analog machine that takes input manually. Later on, the machines were built which use the human command from some input device in a specific format and according to the input they execute some results. Computer Scientists are still working to bring similarities between the human brain and computer.

In the evolutionary era of computers, scientists are trying to make a machine which acts like a human brain, and it takes the decision itself without any command, but the problem is that the human brain is so complex, and while taking a decision through a normal human brain it takes a data of the past, present or future along with some facts and figures and then takes a decision. If we want the same thing from the computer, then it’s a hard process.

As in our school, we read a definition of a computer that it’s a dumb machine and without human interaction, it cannot work, and the programmer is the person who commands it to do something. But now people want to create a computer which takes the only problem and then predicts its possible solution and solve it; it can’t take a decision and if it takes then a criterion is defined by the programmer and out of that criteria a computer is again a dumb machine. Data warehousing is a mechanism that is used these days to predict the future like weather forecast etc. It’s only for some specific field and if we say how it works? So the answer is it take previous data and predict what would be possible the possible next happening, but if we talk about the human brain, it thinks, observes and then predict future.

 

Computer as Human Brain

These days, many companies are trying to make machines and software that act like a human brain, but the problem is still same they are for some specific purpose and area and due to this we can’t compare them with a human brain. The artificial intelligence is the most trending technology in computer science, and people work a lot on these things so that a computer can think much like human brain, but as human take input from their five senses and then takes a decision, but a computer only takes decisions from the limited data stored in it, so the need is to make a machine which takes input from these five scenes and then make a solution.

Robotics (Artificial Intelligence) And Human

Honda Asimov, a private robotics company in Japan, made a robot that acts much like humans. It takes decision itself and takes input from its hands, smell (sensor), eyes (camera), sound (microphone) and can run, give way to human while walking have a good sound and image recognition system, so it easily remembers a person even it knows how to open a bottle and then how to make tea for someone and know how to serve, but it is still limited.

IBM is also trying to make a language which performs tasks as a human brain do. They are developing a new computer architecture with an old language named FORTRAN and once when they will be done then the whole computer architecture may change.
